David, 34, will reportedly be seen playing football on a beach in LA for the ads, which will also feature Arnold, the state governor, and actor Rob Lowe.

A source said: “It will be a massive campaign. It shows the governor believes David is a big catch in getting tourists to visit.”

However David was recently booed during a comeback match for club LA Galaxy but in a later match scored in a game against Barcelona.

The source added: “David has had some stick recently, but is doing what he does best – playing good football and scoring goals.”
