Michael Jackson’s final days could be turned into a movie, according to U.S reports.
AEG Live and Jackson’s estate are in negotiations with leading Hollywood studios over a $50m deal for footage of Jacko in the days before his death.
The late King of Pop filmed more than 100 hours of rehearsals in the run-up to his ill-fated tour, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The footage contains multi-camera footage of Jackson’s final dress rehearsal.
Jackson died just days before he was due to kick-off a 50-date run at London’s O2 Arena.
Now AEG Live is trying to recoup the $30m it spent to stage the comeback tour, as well as millions more in lost ticket sales.
Sony, Fox, Paramount and Universal have all submitted bids for the footage, reports indicate.
The Jackson movie could be released as early as October.
AEG is also reportedly negotiating rights for a TV special based on the staging of the concerts.
