Weezer lead singer injured in New York tour bus crashThe lead singer of Weezer was hospitalised when the band’s tour bus skidded off an icy New York road.

Rivers Cuomo, 39, and the band’s assistant were taken to hospital suffering minor injuries after the bus ended up in a ditch on the New York State Thruway on Sunday.

Cuomo’s wife and two-year-old were also onboard the bus but were not hurt in the crash.

The band was on their way from Toronto to Boston where they had been scheduled to perform today (Monday).

Light snow had fallen in the region over the weekend.
